Visit of the Ambassador to the Pazardzhik region to participate in the project
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Bulgaria,H.E Mrs. Lina Omar, visited the Pazardzhik region at the invitation of the mayor of the municipality to participate in the “Gardens of the World” project. The project will include various plant species from all over the world and will be created with the help of Ambassadors and Diplomats, each of whom will be invited to bring a plant species characteristic of their country, able to withstand the climatic conditions in theplace, where they will be planted. The municipality’s ambition is for this garden to be the largest garden in the world in Europe. It will also have an educational role – next to all the plants will be put the flags of the respective countries and brief information about the tree species, about the conditions of their cultivation and the history of the country from which it is, andsubsequently this information will be collected in an almanac.
The project aims to send a clear political message that aims to overcome the differences between countries, bringing about the realization of common points of view between every culture, society and language, while the beauty of the “garden” will provide a corner of harmony, humility and pleasure for each of its guests , inspiring, offering an incomparable journey without borders.
The creation of “Gardens of the World” began on September 23, 2022, with the planting of the first plant by the football player Hristo Stoichkov and the mayor of Pazardzhik Todor Popov. The official opening of “Gardens of the World” will take place in the fall of 2023.
