Participation in a regular meeting of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Bulgaria

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq H.E .Mrs. Lina Omar. met with a representative of the rector of the Sofia University, Prof. Georgi Bliznashki,

during the regular meeting of the Arab ambassadors, held at the residence of the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Khalid Faqeeh.

During the meeting, the current political, regional and economic situation and the prevailing situation in the world was discussed, and they all railed around the idea on how to develop Arab-Bulgarian relations to benefit  of both sides.

Ways to activate cooperation with Sofia University, which is considered one of the most important universities in Sofia, founded in 1888, as well as the oldest higher education institution in Sofia, were also discussed.

Prof. Bliznashki, for his part, introduced the attendees to the activities of the university, which includes sixteen faculties with a scientific and literary orientation, and expressed the desire of its Administration to open new horizons and cooperation between the University of Sofia and the Arab countries, with the assistance of the Arab ambassadors.
