Charge d’ Affaires met the Director of Middle East and Africa Directorate in MOFA

H.E. Mr. Mohammad Omer Ismael, Chargé d’Affairs met on Wednesday 9/9/2020 with the Director of the Middle East and Africa Directorate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Nikolay Nikolov. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries Iraq and Bulgaria. H.E Mr. Mohammad Omer Ismael also explained in the meeting the Iraq’s position calling for resolving the tensions that the region is witnessing recently through dialogue and not involving it in military conflicts, reaffirming Iraq’s reaffirming Iraq’s desire to maintain balanced relations with all neighboring countries, rejecting encroachments on the country’s state sovereignty. Mr. Nikolay Nikolov, for his part, reviewed the mutual historical relations between the two countries, emphasizing the efforts of the Bulgarian country to provide support for Iraq, in the direction of strengthening the traditional relations and communication between the two friendly nations. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Akram Jameel Sulaiman, First Secretary on political matters in the embassy.
