The Head of Mission met the ABV Political Party Chairman

H.E Mr. Mohammed Al-Azzawi, Chargé d’Affaires, received at the Embassy the ABV political party Chairman, Mr. Rumen Petkov, who was accompanied by Mr. Anastas Terzobaliev, the party’s adviser on relations with the Middle East and Arab countries. During the meeting, Mr. Azzawi pointed out that the relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Iraq have a long past and expressed hope for further strengthening of the mutual relations and for fruitful cooperation in various fields, such as tourism , education, healthcare and more. Mr. Petkov, on his side, expressed his hope that steps would be taken to strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries, which would initiate joint cooperation in the field of training of Iraqi youth at Bulgarian universities, as well as will present the opportunities of balneo-cultural and historical tourism in Bulgaria. H.E Mr Azzawi Expressed his support for promoting tourism, attracting investment and encouraging Bulgarian companies to work in Iraq.
