The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Announces the Completion of Preparations for the 52nd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Baghdad

Baghdad – Ambassador Hassanein Kamel, spokesperson for the 52nd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC Member States, announced the completion of all necessary preparations for the ministerial session to be held in Baghdad on 17 and 18 October, under the theme “Dialogue and Solidarity: Two Fundamental Pillars for Promoting Peace and Sustainable Development”.
Ambassador Kamel explained that the preparations had been carried out through joint coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the OIC General Secretariat. These efforts form part of an integrated government and institutional initiative aimed at meeting all necessary organisational, logistical, and security requirements and creating a conducive environment for the meetings to take place successfully.
He noted that the participating delegations had begun arriving in Baghdad on Thursday in preparation for the session, which represents an important opportunity for consultation and coordination among Member States on the issues and challenges facing the Islamic world, as well as for exploring ways to strengthen cooperation, solidarity, and joint Islamic action.
Baghdad’s hosting of this session is particularly significant in light of the current regional and international challenges and the need to strengthen dialogue, understanding, and collective efforts, in line with the session’s theme and the objectives of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in supporting peace, stability, and sustainable development.
