Day of the Bulgarian Diplomatic service

H.E. Mrs. Lina Omar, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Republic of Bulgaria, attended a reception given by Mr. Georg Georgiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, on the occasion of the “Day of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Service”. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Prime Minister, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Bulgaria, Ministers and Members of the parliament.
In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted key national achievements: the full membership in Schengen by land and the decision to join the Eurozone as of January 1, 2026. In conclusion, Minister Georgiev expressed gratitude to all diplomats and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their diligent work, emphasizing that the diplomatic service is both a duty and a mission.
