Chargé d’Affaires attended an International painting Exhibition “Art for Diplomacy”
H.E Mr. Jassim Msawil, Chargé d’Affaires en pied attended on Tuesday 17/09/2019 the International Exhibition of Decorative Paintings with the participation of Iraq, which was held in cooperation with some Arab and foreign embassies accredited in Sofia under the title “Art for Diplomacy” in one of the exhibition halls of the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture. Thirty diplomatic missions, including Iraq, took part in the exhibition. One painting was displayed for each country expressing its traditional art heritage. The exhibition was opened by the Dean of the Arab and Foreign Diplomatic Corps in Bulgaria, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine HE Dr. Ahmad Al-Madbouh, who said in his opening speech, that the aim of the current painting exhibition is to achieve the goals of diplomacy and to bring peace and harmony to the world. HE Dr. Al-Madbouh also pointed to the importance of art for the Palestinian people because it embody their will in life despite the burdens of the Israeli occupation and its attempt to rob freedom of expression and kill creativity among the Palestinian people. A number of Arab attended the opening of the exhibition and foreign ambassadors and a large number of Bulgarians interested in plastic art and decoration. The exhibition will be opened to the public for one week
