Meeting with the Director of the Diplomatic Institute, Ms. Tanya Mihaylova

H.E. Mrs. Lina Omar, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria, met with the Director of the Diplomatic Institute to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Ms. Tanya Mihaylova, in the premises of the Diplomatic Institute in Sofia. The meeting discussed ways to develop and strengthen joint bilateral relations in favour of the two friendly countries, in response to Iraq’s aspiration to strengthen bilateral relations with all friendly countries, and in particular with Bulgaria, due to the excellent traditional relations with the Republic of Iraq that were established more than 65 years ago.
Ambassador Lina Omar expressed her satisfaction with the fact that the negotiation process between the Iraqi Foreign Service Institute and the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute has been finalized, with the assistance and mediation of the embassy.
The two sides agreed to set a date for signing a Memorandum of Understanding in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on November 13, 2024.
