Bulgaria celebrates 20 years Bulgaria in NATO

H.E. Mrs. Lina Omar, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria, attended an annual international conference on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria’s NATO membership”,  which took place at the Military Academy “G. S. Rakovski, The event was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Nikolay Denkov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mariya Gabriel, and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Todor Tagarev, gave an official speech at the opening.

In his speech, President Radev said: Bulgaria’s membership in NATO will protect us and there is someone to watch over our security, and this means building appropriate and modern defense capabilities”.

 The event was attended by members of the government, military representatives for defense and security, as well as representatives of  the academic community from all around the world.
