Ceremony awarding the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria Mrs. Lina Omar with the award for the best female leader for 2024.

H.E. Mrs. Lina Omar, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria was awarded the Women Leaders Award 2024 under the supervision of the annual program of the United Nations as the best Ambassador with a contribution to the bilateral relations between the Middle East and the Balkans.

The event was honored by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Mrs. Mariya Gabriel, and the awarded women were welcomed with the words: “Such a forum and similar initiatives provide an opportunity to see and respect leadership among women. Women’s potential for commitment and leadership is great.” The ceremony took place in Sofia in the presence of ministers, the  Parliament representatives, Arab and foreign Ambassadors accredited in Bulgaria, representatives of international organizations and the press.
