Arab League condemns Israeli Entity’s Attempts to Scale up its Aggressive Practices and Affirms its Support for Iraq
Through Iraq’s permanent delegation in Cairo and with the support of all Arab countries in the Arab League, in addition to the support of the Secretary-General of the League, Iraq succeeded in issuing a resolution on Sunday, 24 November 2024, condemning and denouncing the Israeli entity’s attempts to scale up its aggressive practices in the region including Iraq, as well the resolution condemned the Israeli entity’s addressing the Security Council, considering it a step to expand its aggression in the Middle East.
The resolution included other details including requesting the Secretary-General of the Arab League to send a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the Security Council, reflecting the League’s position in support of the Republic of Iraq and the categorical rejection of the allegations contained in the letter of the Israeli entity’s Foreign Minister. The resolution also stressed the need to take urgent measures to stop the ongoing escalation in the Middle East to maintain international peace and security.
