Iraq and Bolivia establishing Diplomatic Relations

The signing ceremony of the declaration establishing joint diplomatic relations between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia took place at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Iraq in New York.

The statement was signed by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations in New York, Dr. Abbas Kadhom Obaid, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Iraq, while the Permanent Representative of the Plurinational State of Bolivia to the United Nations, Ambassador Diego Pary Rodríguez, signed on behalf of the Bolivian side.

During the signing ceremony, reference was made to the importance of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries and the mechanisms to strength it in a way that serves both countries interests in various fields and enhances respect, peace, and national sovereignty between them.

Iraq’s Chargé d’Affaires expressed his hope that this step would be followed by practical steps to enhance bilateral relations through the exchange of visits between the two sides, joint coordination, mutual support, as well as trade and cultural exchange, especially since Iraq seeks to expand its relations and representation in the continents of the world.

The Bolivian Ambassador also expressed his happiness at establishing diplomatic relations between Iraq and Bolivia, pointing out the importance of this step in serving the interests of the two countries and benefiting from mutual experiences in various sectors, as well as initiating trade exchanges and mutual support.
