H.E. Judge Salar Abdul Sattar Muhammad, Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, met with Mr. Liu Zhenmin, Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, to discuss a number of files, the most important of which are:

  • Continuous cooperation between Iraq and the United Nations, especially in the field of capacity building and development of the care sector for people with disabilities
  • The Corona pandemic and its negative and doubling effects on people with residency, and the mechanisms for their assistance and in various fields, especially economic and development.

For his part, Mr. Zinman thanked Iraq’s efforts during its membership of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its support for development paths and international consensus
