Iraq, represented by H. E. Judge Salar Abdul Sattar Mohammed, Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, participated in the 15th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
This course is held under the theme “Building Inclusive Participatory Societies for Persons with Disabilities in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond”, to discuss the interests, mechanisms and successful experiences of countries in the context of building inclusive and inclusive societies.
Iraq’s high participation comes in the context of the attention given by the Iraqi government to people with disabilities in Iraqi society. Noting that Iraq worked, during its membership of the International Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the period (2021-2022), to promote new and important concepts in the context of improving the type and lifestyle of this important segment, especially for women and children.
