The Iraqi Council of Representatives enacted the Anti-Human Trafficking Law No. (28) of 2012 and continued to review the law periodically with the aim of modernization and development in light of changes and to ensure optimal implementation of the protection of human rights.

The efforts of the Iraqi government to train and develop capacity to enforce law based on anti-trafficking laws, in addition to efforts to dismantle trafficking networks and bring perpetrators to justice

Providing health and psychological services to victims and referring them to protection services, in cooperation with civil society organizations

Welcome the adoption of the Political Declaration on the Implementation of the Global Action Plan to Combat Trafficking in Persons and include language in it stressing the need to aid Member States by providing training and capacity-building in the provision of health and mental care services and psychosocial support for the recovery and reintegration of victims.
