Deputy Permanent Representative and Third Committee Expert participated workshop on Agriculture and Food Security

Deputy Permanent Representative Mr. Mohammad Sahib and Mr. Firas Hassan, Third Committee Expert, participated in the workshop sponsored by the Iraqi Mission with Honduras Mission, Civil Society Organizations and UN Stakeholders on Agriculture and Food Security. In his speech, the Deputy Permanent Representative referred to the steps taken by Iraq to empower rural women through agricultural programs and projects for women and invest them in food industries, despite the great challenges faced by terrorism.

The expert of the Third Committee also gave an intervention on the significant effects resulting from the occupation of terrorist groups of agricultural land and the destruction of explosive materials and planting mines to hinder the progress of Iraqi security forces during the liberation, as well as the burning of oil wells that caused serious environmental disasters
