The Permanent Representative participated in Special Committee meeting (C-24)

On 21/2/2019, The Permanent Representative participated in the meeting of the session of the committee on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Independence of Colonial Peoples and Countries, Which witnessed the election of the Permanent Representative of Grenada as Chairman of the Committee, the election of the Permanent Representative of Indonesia, the Permanent Representative of Sierra Leone and the Deputy Permanent Representative of Cuba as Vice-Chairmen, as well as the election of the Permanent Representative of Syria as Rapporteur of the Committee. In this regard, the Permanent Representative made a statement in which he indicated Iraq’s full readiness to cooperate with the Chairman and the Bureau of the Committee to work towards the achievement of the objectives that the Committee were established upon.
