Youth, Peace and Security

On 23/4/2018 the Permanent Mission of Iraq to the United Nations in New York participated in the United Nations Security Council session on “Maintaining security and world peace: youth, peace and security”.

During the session, Mr. Mohammed Sahib Majeed, chargé d’affaires of the Iraqi Mission, guided the audience through the efforts made by the Iraqi Government to support youth. In particular, the Government adopted a national strategy that includes programs and plans aiming to promote youth awareness as well as to develop a spirit of cooperation, brotherhood and to renounce violence.
