The Permanent Representative participated in the Arab Group Meeting (Ambassadorial level)

  The Iraqi Permanent Representative participated in the Arab Group meeting (Ambassadorial level), listening to the briefing by the Permanent Representative of Honduras regarding her candidacy for the Presidency of the 73 session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

    This was followed up by a briefing from Mr. Peter Mulrean, the director of UNRWA Representative Office in New York, regarding the current financial and operational challenges, and monitoring the current situation of Palestinian question, especially after the recent Israeli security forces aggression against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian Territories.

The Permanent Representative made several remarks during the meeting about the Honduras Ambassador candidacy and UNRWA’s tasks and the future vision of the Agency’s work within the UN.
