Iraq, in its capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group in New York for the month of October 2022, hold a meeting to discuss several issues on the group’s agenda.
Iraq, in its capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group in New York for the month of October 2022, held a meeting chaired by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Al-Uloom, to discuss a number of issues on the group’s agenda.
The meeting hosts HE Mr. Georgy Lukantisev, Special Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on human rights, democracy and the rule of law, on a draft resolution submitted to the General Assembly within the work of the Third Committee.
The meeting also discussed the draft resolution entitled “Cooperation between the United Nations and the League of Arab States”, after listening to a briefing by the Permanent Observer of the Office of the League of Arab States to the United Nations, within item 27 of the agenda of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
At the end of the meeting, Permanent Representative Ambassador Bahr Al-Uloom, thanks the representatives of the member states and the Arab League office in New York for their support for Iraq’s presidency of the group, and for cooperation in conducting business, which reflects its important role in the international arena.
