Minister of Foreign Affairs participates in the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Arab Group, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United States and the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council

Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein, participated in the meeting of the Arab Group’s foreign ministers, in the presence of the United States Secretary of State, Mr. Anthony Blinken, and the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, held in New York.

During the meeting, the ministers reviewed a number of major issues on the regional and international arenas, including the peace process in the Middle East, the crisis in Syria, as well as the Yemeni file and the repercussions of the Ukrainian crisis on global food security.

The meeting discussed the strategic and historical relations and the growing partnership between the countries participating in the meeting, building on the outcomes of the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development held last July, with the aim of promoting peace, security, stability and economic prosperity in the Middle East and addressing regional and international challenges, including food, climate, health and humanitarian crises.
