The Permanent Mission of Iraq participated in the virtual meeting with Executive Director of (UNDP)

On 2/4/2020, The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations participated in the virtual meeting organized by the United Nations Secretariat with Mr. Achim Steiner, Executive Director of the United Nations Development System (UNDP) to provide a brief summary of the procedures of the UNDP and the international response plans to the global emergency as a result of the outbreak of the pandemic COVID-19. Mr. Achim pointed out the necessity to contain the crisis and its repercussions on the international program for the advancement of the global economy and the achievement of the UN 2030 agenda. 170 countries participated in the virtual meeting via electronic technology.
