Iraq at the annual activities of UNDP

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Al-uloom delivered a speech at the side event organized by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on 21/06/2018 within the annual activities of the program from 19 – 20/06/2018.

The permanent Representative praised the leading role that UNDP is carrying out in Iraq as well as the cooperation with Iraqi Government to help IDPs and refugees. Iraq, despites the difficult circumstances, hosts nearly 230 thousands Syrian refugee as well as the Palestinians refugee since 1948. The Permanent Representative points out the common program the Iraqi Government in cooperation with Foreign Partners in which it will strength the stability and secures a safe return of IDPs to their liberated cities from the terrorism groups.
