Iraqi Permanent Representative delivered a Speech in UNAOC Group of Friends Meeting

Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq attended the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Group of Friends Meeting that organized by the office UNAOC and cosponsored by Turkey and Spain and held at the United Nations Headquarter.

During the Meeting, the  Permanent Representative delivered the statement of Iraq on Preventing Violent Extremism and Sustainable Peace, through which explained the efforts of the government of the Republic of Iraq in relation to the prevention of violent extremism through spreading awareness among the people of Iraq, working on implementation of sustainable development and the program of UN and the Secretary General of UN on Preventing Violent Extremism and Sustainable Peace and fighting Dae’sh terrorist organization that carries violent extremist ideas and undermines efforts to achieve sustainable peace.
