Iraqi Permanent Representative meeting with UNESCO Director
The Iraqi PR received Mrs. Marie Paule Roudil, UNESCO Director Liaison office in New York and Representative to the UN on March 26th to discuss the ways and means to promote the cooperative and coordinative relationships between Iraq and UNESCO, in order to rehabilitee liberated areas from the terrorist group (ISIL),
through developing the cultural, educational and art aspects. In particular, in Mosul city where damage has been very strongly. In addition to make efforts to return the stolen and lost Iraqi antiquities from Iraqi Museums. As well as, to support Iraqi requests in order to include the historical sites into the World Heritage List. The two parties also discussed various cultural issues, which reflects the mutual interest.
