Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation presented his credentials to the Russian President.

On February 5, 2020, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation, Dr. Abdulrahman Hamid Al-Hussaini presented his credentials to the Russian President H.E. Vladimir Putin as an Extraordinary and Potentially Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation.

After receiving the credentials, the Russian President gave a speech in which he talked on the Iraqi-Russian relations and pointed out to that Iraq and Russia have acquired strong experience in cooperation in various fields including the fuel and energy sector, adding that Russia has continuously supported the preservation of the sovereignty and integrity of Iraqi, as well as helping in resolving the issues related to Iraqi security.
