Ambassador meets the Director of the Russian Middle East Society Foundation.

On July 24, 2019, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation, H.E. Haidar Mansour Hadi, met the Director of the Russian Middle East Society Foundation Mr. Igor Spivak to discuss the initiative of the Foundation for the establishment of an international conference to discuss the situation in the Middle East and to find solutions to solve the problems of the region.

During the meeting H.E. explained that the security developments in Iraq is a positive factor that helps the Iraqi Government to take a leading role in the region, noting that Iraq’s foreign positions of regional developments in the region calls for the need to resolve differences through dialogues between all parties, pointing out to that Iraq`s foreign policy based on not engaging in the policy of regional poles, and that the security of Iraq is linked to the security of the region. H.E. also expressed his readiness to support this initiative, which serves the stability of the region and the direction towards sustainable development based on international conventions, noting that Iraq supports all international efforts to resolve the crises in the Middle East.

For his part, Mr. Spivak thanked the Ambassador for supporting the idea of holding the conference which will discuss the latest developments in the Middle East and the ways of solving them in addition to determining the place of the conference and its funding.
