Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs meets Dutch Prime Minister on the sidelines of COP27 Climate Summit, held in Sharm El-Sheikh
On Monday, 7/11/2022, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign affairs Fouad Hussein met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, on the sidelines of the 27th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP27, held in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in Sharm El-Sheikh. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to support them in a way that enhances common interests and confront common risks. The Minister presented a clear picture of the formation of the new government in Iraq and the policy of the current government, stressing that this government will continue to develop its relations with all countries supporting and friendly to Iraq, expressing his thanks to the Kingdom of the Netherlands for supporting Iraq in various fields. For his part, the Dutch Prime Minister affirmed his country’s continued support for Iraq, congratulating the Iraqi people on the formation of the Iraqi government, noting that the Dutch government is looking forward to expanding the common areas of work, and seeking to open new horizons for cooperation between our two countries in many fields. It is worth noting that the Minister is participating in the work of the Climate Summit within the delegation of Iraq, which is headed by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and attended the bilateral meetings held by the President with the King of Jordan, the Tunisian Prime Minister, the Lebanese Prime Minister, the President of the Republic of Armenia, the Palestinian Prime Minister, the Algerian President, and the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
