Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Arab League Assistant Secretary General

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ambassador Hossam Zaki , in Baghdad, on 4 December 2024. 

The meeting reviewed the efforts exerted to hold an Arab League ministerial meeting on the situation in Gaza, which is scheduled to be held next Sunday. 

Additionally, they discussed the efforts to hold a consultative ministerial meeting on security developments in Syria, in addition to affirming the importance of coordinating Arab stances regarding these issues.

The two sides exchanged views on security developments in Syria, the ongoing war in Lebanon, and the escalating situation in Gaza.
