The Consulate-general of the Republic of Iraq held a poetry evening

According to H.Exc. Minister of Foreign Affairs instructions to care for the Iraqi community affairs in the diaspora, the Consulate-general of the Republic of Iraq to Montreal had a poetry evening in its building last Saturday 31/8/2024, for the Iraqi Montreal-based poet Arwa Abdulwahid ALSAMMARA’I.
The event started with a speech delivered by, the Acting Charge d’affairs Counselor Sadiq ALYASIRI welcoming all guests and commended the poet’s role in enriching the Arab culture in Montreal, through her poems and works, confirming that the Iraqi Government supports the cultural and literary activities.
The poet then reviewed her poetry career and expertise by participating in the ALMARBID poetry festival in its 35th edition held in ALBASRAH city last February.
At last, the ActingCharge d’affairs thanked the poet and all the guests who attended the event for their active participation and valuable interventions that enriched the evening.
