MEETING WITH HON. SECRETARY TEODORO LOCSIN OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

The Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Teodoro Locsin invites the Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Khalil Jindy Rashow,  yesterday,  21 January 2020 at the Office of the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs together with Hon. Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concern, Mr. Brigido Dulay and Assistant Secretary for  Office of the Middle Eastern & African Affairs, Mr. Leslie Baja.

The Secretary welcome the Charge  d’ Affaires with full of thanks and gratitude on his assistance for the request of the Department of Foreign Affairs immediate repatriation of the 9 Filipino who have been detained at the airport last 13 January 2020 and the immediate issuance of Visas for the Philippine Delegation assisting the Philippine Embassy in Bagdad for the repatriation of the Filipino Workers in Iraq. The Secretary was very pleased for the necessary action of the Government of Iraq with the full support and assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq-Manila headed by the CDA. In lieu of this, Secretary Locsin conveys to the CDA that whatever needs or request of the Iraqi Government to the Philippine Government will be very much willing to reciprocate the positive diplomatic relationship between the two countries.

On the other hand, the Iraqi Charge d’ Affaires  reciprocates with honor the invitation and gratitude of the Secretary to meet him and conveys that it his duty and responsibility of the Embassy to help and assists the Philippine Government whatever assistance in order to keep the good diplomatic ties between the two countries.
