Death Certificate

Requirements for Issuing an Iraqi Death Certificate:

1- The Original British death certificate (A4) legalized by the British Foreign Office, along with two copies (the death must have occurred in the United Kingdom), and the British death certificate should be translated into Arabic by a certified translator.

2- National ID card or (Civil Status ID and Iraqi Citizenship Certificate) of the deceased (original + two copies of each).

3-Complete the online application form for a death certificate through the consulate website below:

4- Book an appointment online via the link above before attending.

Death Certificate Issuance Fees:

1- If the death occurred before 23/09/2024, the issuance fee is as follows:

 – Late fee of £9.

2- If the death occurred after 23/09/2024, the issuance fees will be as follows:

– A late fee of £19 will be charged if the application is submitted more than (two months) after the date of death.

– A late fee of £58 will be charged for each month for applications submitted more than (six months) after the date of death.
