Meeting with Manchester City Councillor for the Rusholme Ward representing the Green Party

Consul General, Dr Wael Al-Robaaie, welcomed Mr Shams Syed, Manchester City Councillor for the Rusholme Ward representing the Green Party.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Consulate General and local authorities, particularly in areas that benefit the Iraqi community, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest aimed at enhancing relations with local institutions.

The Consul General reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to building strong partnerships with local councillors and organisations across the city. Mr Syed commended the Consulate’s efforts in supporting the Iraqi community and promoting its positive contribution to Manchester, expressing his commitment to continued cooperation and support for initiatives that strengthen community cohesion and foster mutually beneficial relations.
