Consul General visited the University of Liverpool

The Consul General, Dr Wael Al-Robaaie, visited the University of Liverpool and met with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and senior academic and administrative staff.

The University warmly welcomed the Consul General’s visit, during which discussions focused on opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation and support the admission and sponsorship of Iraqi students across a range of academic disciplines, in coordination with the relevant authorities in Iraq. The visit also included a tour of the University’s faculties, departments, and research laboratories.

The Consul General reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to developing educational and cultural partnerships, encouraging academic exchange, and facilitating joint seminars and research activities.

The University welcomed closer engagement with Iraq, expressed its interest in implementing the existing Memorandum of Understanding, and indicated its readiness
