The Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Manchester hosted a lecture entitled “Engineering Awareness: From Manufacturing Ignorance to Manufacturing Acceptance,” delivered by Dr Ahmed Al-Saffar and attended by members of the Iraqi community and consulate staff.

The lecture examined the influence of media, culture, and modern technology in shaping public awareness and opinion, highlighting the importance of critical thinking and informed analysis in the digital age. The event also featured a discussion on the impact of artificial intelligence and modern media on society.

The programme concluded with a minute’s silence and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in remembrance of the victims of the Speicher Massacre
