Consul General Dr Wael Al-Robaaie welcomed Dr Hussayn Salem, Manchester City Councillor for Ancoats and Beswick representing the Green Party and Chair of the Economic Scrutiny Committee. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the Consulate General and local authorities in Manchester to support the Iraqi community and promote its positive integration and participation in economic, social, and cultural life.

The Consul General reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to building strong relationships with local councillors and institutions, while Dr Salem commended the Consulate’s efforts in supporting the Iraqi community and expressed his readiness to support initiatives that enhance community cohesion and strengthen mutual cooperation.
