H.E Ambassador responds to the invitation of the Islamic World Observatory

Ambassador Dr. Adel Mustafa responded to an invitation from the Islamic World Observatory by meeting with its President, Professor Jose Esteves, and deputy, Dr. João Henrique, on December 20, 2023, in Lisbon at Freguesia de Santo António. During the meeting, they delved into the Observatory’s history, activities, and founding objectives. Exploring opportunities to bolster cooperation, they considered the possibility of formalizing their collaboration through a memorandum of understanding. The Ambassador extended an invitation to the heads of Iraqi research and studies centers, urging them and their deputies to attend a dialogue symposium organized by the European Foundation for Dialogue and Development (EIDE) on January 20, 2024, in Baghdad. This event, endorsed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives, aims to foster dialogue. Professor Esteves enthusiastically accepted the invitation, affirming his commitment to visiting Baghdad. He emphasized the importance of fostering communication and collaboration to establish a mutually beneficial partnership between Iraq and Portugal.
