Holiday Announcement

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq has announced that Monday, March 16, 2026, will be an official holiday in commemoration of the crimes committed by the Ba’athist regime against the Iraqi people.

This decision comes in remembrance of this painful tragedy in Iraq’s history and to renew solidarity with the families of the victims who suffered the most severe violations, particularly the crimes that targeted innocent civilians in a number of Iraqi cities.
