The Ambassador’s meeting with a high-level Iraqi delegation, including His Excellency the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs

We met with a delegation of senior advisors to the Iraqi Parliament and the President of the European Foundation for Dialogue and Development
Mr. Alaa Al-Bahadli, Mr. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Pedro Duarte. We affirmed Iraq’s serious desire to develop the bilateral relationship between the two countries and the necessity of reopening the Portuguese Embassy in Baghdad . His Excellency agreed with what we presented and promised that he would present the matter to the Portuguese Foreign Minister and stress the importance of that.
