Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine holds Iftar banquet for the Iraqi Community in Ukraine

          Upon directives of His Excellency Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Mohammed Ali Alhakim, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine held on May 27, 2019  Iftar banquet  for the members of the Iraqi Community in Ukraine on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

           At the beginning of the event, H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and        Plenipotentiary  of   the  Republic of  Iraq  to  Ukraine, Mr. Bakir Ahmed Aziz

Al-Jaff welcomed the members of the Iraqi Community and delivered a speech in which he conveyed greetings and congratulations of H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq to the Iraqi Community outside the homeland on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, stressing the readiness of the Embassy, ​​its diplomatic staff and local employees to serve the Iraqi community and Iraqi students studying in Ukrainian Educational Institutions and make every possible effort to overcome difficulties faced by them within the competence of the Mission.

          H.E.  Ambassador Al-Jaff confirmed the Embassy’s keenness to develop and strengthen relations of  friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and Ukraine, congratulating the people of Ukraine on election of the new President, wishing them further progress and prosperity.

          In his turn, Dr. Adnan Al-Kadhimi, the Chairman of social organization “Iraqi House in Kyiv”, expressed on behalf of the Iraqi community in Ukraine gratitude to the Embassy for the cooperation with the community and organizing the banquet that unites Iraqis, noting that this kind gesture by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq and the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine contributes to building bridges of cooperation and strengthening ties with the Iraqi Community in Ukraine.

         At the end of the event, H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff honored the guests and thanked them for attending the Iftar banquet.

        For their part, the attendees of the banquet expressed their gratitude to H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff and the Embassy’s staff for hospitality and warm reception.
