IRAQI EMBASSY’S CHARGE D’AFFAIRES MEETS CHAIRMAN OF THE SOCIAL ORGANIZATION“IRAQI HOUSE IN KYIV”

On October 18, 2021 Mr. Taan Hussein Abbas Hussein, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine, Minister Plenipotentiary met at the Embassy’s headquarters with the delegation of the Iraqi community in Ukraine, headed by Dr. Adnan Al-Kadhimi, Chairman of the social organization “Iraqi House in Kyiv”.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Charge d’Affaires welcomed the Esteemed Guests and congratulated them on the occasion of Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif, and reviewed the recent political developments in Iraq, which resulted in the successful parliamentary elections held this month.

Charge d’Affaires also touched upon the tasks carried out by the Embassy, stressing the importance of communication between the Embassy and social organization “Iraqi House in Kyiv” and other representatives of the Community, who have extensive knowledge of the host country owing to their relationships, tools, that the Embassy can benefit from in raising the level of cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and Ukraine in various fields through holding cultural events, exhibitions and joint media seminars, and communicating with influential social figures, presidents of universities and institutes and civil society organizations in Ukraine, in addition to cooperation in solving problems and overcoming obstacles that may face Iraqi citizens residing in Ukraine or students studying in Ukrainian universities.

For their part, the delegation members expressed gratitude to Charge d’Affaires for the warm reception, stressing success their readiness to provide the required support to the Embassy to ensure of its mission, because it was and will remain a home for all Iraqis.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold regular monthly meetings between the Embassy and social organization “Iraqi House in Kyiv”, with the participation  of representatives of the Iraqi Community in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities,  to exchange views and discuss the agenda that will be prepared in advance.

The meeting was attended by Counselor of the Embassy, Mr. Abd-Alsalam Monadel Akef Hammuodi and responsible for the cultural and information affairs, first secretary Mr. Al-Bayati Ali Murtadha Said and Consul of the Embassy Mr. Al-Ahmed Ali Sadeq Abdulhadi.
