FAREWELL LUNCH BANQUET FOR IRAQ’S AMBASSADOR TO UKRAINE

On September 2, 2021 His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine Mr. Bakir Ahmed Al-Jaff hosted a lunch banquet in honor of Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic states, accredited to Ukraine, and a number of Ukrainian religious and social figures, on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.

The banquet was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mrs. Emine Dzhaparova, Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the Republic of Turkey, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Indonesia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Lebanese Republic and the State of Palestine, accredited to Ukraine, as well as His Eminence the Grand Mufti of Ukraine, and the head of the social organization “Iraqi House in Kyiv”.

H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff delivered a speech, in which he expressed his gratitude to the attendees for accepting the invitation, and reviewed the most important milestones on the path of the relations of friendship and cooperation between Iraq and Ukraine, and noted broad prospects for strengthening these relations in various fields.

For her part, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Mrs. Emine Dzhaparova praised the efforts of H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff in developing relations between the two countries. Also, the attendees highly appreciated his role in the area of cooperation between fraternal and friendly diplomatic missions in Ukraine, and his contribution to the joint activities between these missions and the Ukrainian side, wishing him every success in his future duties.
