IRAQ’S AMBASSADOR TO UKRAINE MEETS DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL FOR THE MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA OF THE MFA OF UKRAINE

            On September 03, 2019 His Excellency Mr. Bakir Ahmed Al-Jaff, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine met with Mrs. Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, Director-General of the Directorate General for the Middle East and Africa of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine at the Ministry’s headquarters upon her request.

            At the beginning of the meeting, Mrs. Shcherbatiuk welcomed Mr. Ambassador and confirmed the Ukrainian Side’s keenness to develop relations of friendship and cooperation with Iraq in different areas of common interest.

            For his part, Ambassador Al-Jaff expressed his gratitude to  Mrs. Shcherbatiuk for the warm welcome and reception and extended his congratulations on the successful Parliamentary Elections and formation of the new Ukrainian Government, wishing continued progress and prosperity for the friendly people of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the Two Sides also discussed ways to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in different political and economic areas of common interest and organization of mutual visits between officials of both countries as well as recent regional and international developments.
