Iraqi Ambassador to Ukraine holds a lunch-banquet for Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic states, accredited to Ukraine

On June 25, 2019 Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine                      Mr. Bakir Ahmed Al-Jaff held a lunch-banquet on the occasion of the formation of the new Iraqi government and the national campaign for the reconstruction of Iraq. The banquet was attended by a number of Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic states in Ukraine as well as the Head of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine, the Grand Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Ahmed Tamim.

  At the beginning of the event, Ambassador Al-Jaff welcomed the esteemed guests and delivered a speech in which he praised the international and Arab support for the Iraqi government in realization its development project aimed at elevating the living standards in the country and rebuilding Iraqi cities damaged by terrorist operations.      

 H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff  also stressed  Iraq’s keenness to resume its leading role in the Region aimed at restoring stability and security, strengthening relations with neighboring countries and all other fraternal and friendly countries of the world.

        For their part, Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic states in Ukraine congratulated Ambassador Al-Jaff on the formation of the new Iraqi government and wished Iraq further progress and prosperity, expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the hospitality and warm reception.

       It is worth mentioning that among banquet attendees were Ambassadors and representatives of the (People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Arab Republic of Egypt, State of Kuwait, Kingdom of Morocco, United Arab Emirates, State of Libya, State of Palestine, Republic of Sudan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Republic of Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Indonesia).
