IRAQI EMBASSY’S CHARGE D’AFFAIRES MEETS AMBASSADOR OF THE ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT TO UKRAINE

On October 19, 2021 Mr. Taan Hussein Abbas Hussein, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine, Minister Plenipotentiary met with His Excellency Mr. Ayman Ahmed Mokhtar Elgammal, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Ukraine at the Egyptian Embassy headquarters.

Ambassador Elgammal welcomed the Charge d’Affaires and congratulated him on his new position, wishing him success in performing his duties as Head of Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine.

For his part, Charge d’Affaires expressed his gratitude to H.E. Ambassador Elgammal for the warm reception and hospitality, praising the fraternal relations linking Iraq with the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt. Charge d’Affaires also reviewed the developments of the political situation in Iraq, and the successful parliamentary elections and the victories over terrorism forces, stressing the Iraqi Government’s position supporting all regional and international initiatives that would help in strengthening security and stability in the Middle East and the world.

During the meeting Iraqi Charge d’Affaires and Egyptian Ambassador exchanged views on issues of common interest related to enhancing coordination between the two diplomatic missions, and promoting cooperation aimed at unifying Arab position on the common issues as well as strengthening friendly and cooperative relations with the Ukrainian Side, so as to meet the interests of all parties.
