IRAQ’S AMBASSADOR TO UKRAINE RECEIVES CHARGE D’AFFAIRES OF THE LIBYAN EMBASSY IN UKRAINE

On February 15, 2021 His Excellency Mr. Bakir Ahmed Al-Jaff, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine received at the Embassy’s headquarters Mr. Adel Benissa, Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Libya in Ukraine.

At the beginning of the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff welcomed the Esteemed Guest and reviewed the developments of the political and economic situation in Iraq, confirming the Iraqi Government’s position in support of all regional and international initiatives that help to enhance security and stability in fraternal Libya, especially the constructive dialogue between all Libyan Parties to achieve national reconciliation, preserve the country’s unity and reject foreign interference in its internal affairs.

During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on issues of common interest related to enhancing fraternal relations between the two diplomatic missions, and promoting cooperation in various events aimed at strengthening friendly and cooperative relations with the Ukrainian side, so as to meet the interests of all parties.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Adel Benissa thanked H.E. Ambassador      Al-Jaff for the warm reception and hospitality, expressing the appreciation of the people and political leadership of Libya for Iraq’s fraternal stances.
