IRAQ’S AMBASSADOR TO UKRAINE RECEIVES MEMBER OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE

On March 10, 2020 His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine Mr. Bakir Ahmed Al-Jaff received at the Embassy’s headquarters People’s Deputy of Ukraine, member of the Parliamentary Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation, Chairperson of the Sub-committee on Links and Protection of Rights and Interests of Ukrainians Abroad of the above-mentioned Parliamentary Committee Mr. Sviatoslav Yurash.

At the beginning of the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff welcomed the Esteemed Guest and stressed the importance of developing parliamentary relations and coordination between the two parliamentary friendship groups to enhance cooperation between Iraq and Ukraine, so as to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

For his part, Mr. Yurash expressed his gratitude to H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff for the warm reception and hospitality, and highly appreciated Ambassador’s attendance at the extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held last week, stressing his Country’s keenness on maintaining and developing relations between the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, the Two Sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, issues of common interest at the political, economic and cultural levels as well as common parliamentary topics.
