Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine celebrates the Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif

On November 12, 2019 the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine held a special ceremony on the occasion of Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif. At the beginning of the ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Bakir Ahmed Al-Jaff, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine delivered a speech in which he congratulated the Iraqi people, all Muslims of the world and all humanity on this auspicious occasion, and reviewed the biography of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), emphasizing the importance of reinforcing tolerance and co-existence among peoples and nations in all their variations. Ambassador noted that the current situation in Iraq requires national unity among all the Iraqis and political forces to support the Iraqi Government’s efforts aimed  at carrying out the reforms in various organs of the state, so that to combat financial and administrative corruption, and continue on the path of progress and prosperity.

In conclusion, H.E. Mr. Ambassador Al-Jaff stressed the need for the Embassy staff to continue to do their utmost to serve the Iraqi community in Ukraine, to enhance friendly and cooperative relations with the Ukrainian side in various areas of common interest, asking the Almighty God to bless Iraq and Ukraine with security, peace and tranquility.
