Iraq’s Ambassador to Ukraine receives Security Advisor of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense

On June 13, 2019 His Excellency Mr. Bakir Ahmed       Al-Jaff, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine received at the Embassy’s headquarters Security Advisor of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense Lieutenant general Mr. Mouhaned Jawad Hassan Witwit, in the presence of the Iraqi Military Attaché, staff Colonel (Navy) Mr. Alshawi Atheer Abdulrhada  Jassim.

During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Al-Jaff  provided a thorough overview  of  bilateral relations between Iraq and Ukraine in various fields, especially in the field of military and security cooperation, underlining the permanent readiness of the Ukrainian side to provide support to the Iraqi government in its efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the areas liberated from ‘DAESH’ terrorist gangs. H.E. Ambassador     Al-Jaff  also expressed the Iraq’s side interest in the entry of the Ukrainian companies into the Iraqi market and their involvement in the ongoing reconstruction process throughout the country.

For his part, Advisor Mouhaned Jawad Hassan Witwit expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Al-Jaff for warm reception and hospitality and highly appreciated the close cooperation between the Embassy, Iraqi community and Iraqi students studying in Ukrainian Educational Institutions.
