The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Islamabad receives a member of the Pakistani Parliament, Mrs. Shagufta Jamani
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Islamabad, on 26/10/2020, received Mrs. Shagufta Jamani, Member of the Endowment Committee in the Pakistani Parliament.
During the meeting, Both sides discussed the history of Iraq, its regional and international importance, and the common visions that bind the two countries, and in particular the issue of religious visits.
Mrs. Shagufta called for a meeting in order to set up a working mechanism to encourage Pakistani visitors who intend to visit the holy shrines in Iraq, in partnership with the Pakistani Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
The Ambassador expressed his cooperation regarding coordination between the concerned Iraqi and Pakistani authorities, and support for any idea that would set a successful course in promoting visitors.
